Ibrahim Hassan set a new national record for Djibouti in Osaka Marathon 2026
Ibrahim Hassan Bouh of Djibouti runs 2:05:20 in the Osaka Marathon on Sunday, Feb 22 2026, with a course record and a new national record for Djibouti.

It's worth mentioning that Ibrahim Hassan took second place in 2:06:13 at Marathon de Paris on Apr 13 2025, and his excellent 2:05:20 result in Osaka allowed to shave off almost a minute from the previous personal best.
The previous year's winner, Ethiopian Yihunilign Adane, who won Osaka Marathon 2025 in 2:05:37 with the course record and the PB, this time narrowly finished second just 13 seconds behind, in 2:05:33.
