Sabastian Sawe smashed the world record and ran the first official sub-two-hour marathon in a record-eligible race.

Yomif Kejelcha broke the 2 hour barrier as well while making the fastest marathon debut in history, and got the 2nd place.

Jacob Kiplimo shattered the Ugandan national marathon record and finished 3rd.
