Esme_Davies_Paris_Half_Marathon_2026_small British runner Esme Davies produced a stunning performance at the 2026 HOKA Semi de Paris on 8 March, crossing the finish line in 1:11:32. With that impressive time, Esme claimed fifth place among the women's elite field at one of the world's largest half marathons (the race featured nearly 50000 participants this year).

The result marks a new personal best for the British athlete. The previous PB with the time of 1:13:14 was set by Esme at Copenhagen Half Marathon on 14 September 2025, which resulted to the second place in the category.

Davies has built her endurance credentials steadily over the past couple of years, with a 10000m track personal best of 33:30.93 set on 19 April 2024 at Wake Forest Invitational and a 5000m best of 15:59.07 clocked at the Penn Relays on Apr 25-27 2024. She also showed sharp indoor form in early 2025, running 9:23.33 for 3000m at Arena Birmingham on 23 Feb 2025, before stepping up to the half marathon distance.

Paris Half Marathon 2026 has shown that Davies is rapidly growing into a genuine road-racing talent, and it will be exciting to see where this trajectory takes Esme next.
